Our Managing Director of Wine, Mark Harvey, has today been announced as joining the Walpole Board of Directors.
Walpole, the world renowned group of over 200 luxury British brand brands, seeks to support and raise the profile of UK luxury – an industry that is estimated to be worth over £32 billion to the UK economy. Chapel Down has been a member of Walpole since 2016 and features alongside Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Dunhill, Harrods, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and Wedgwood.
Mark Harvey’s appointment to the Walpole Board of Directors comes as Walpole also announced Justine Picardie, Editor-in-Chief of Harpers Bizarre, and Philippe Warnery, Senior Vice President of Estée Lauder, as also joining the board.
Mark Harvey commented: “Walpole plays a vitally important role in ensuring the significant opportunities ahead for the British luxury sector will be realised. The organisation is enjoying renewed energy and focus under a recent change in leadership and I’m thrilled and honoured to now join the board. I can’t wait to get started.”
Helen Brocklebank, CEO of Walpole, added: “Justine, Mark and Philippe bring an extraordinary wealth of knowledge and expertise to Walpole that will enable us to make significant progress in our mission to protect, promote and develop the British luxury industry.
