Our Chapel Down Albariño 2014 was recently featured in a blind tasting with Spanish wine experts in Madrid with surprising results. The Wine And Spirit Trade Association (WSTA) took our English Albariño, England’s first ever single varietal Albariño, to Madrid to test Spanish wine experts in a blind tasting. Chapel Down reports second largest grape harvest from the 2017 vintage

We are pleased to announce the completion of our 2017 grape harvest in which we saw our second highest ever harvest. The English wine industry saw a difficult start to the growing season with a number of vineyard sites hit by a frost in late April.  We mitigated some of the risk of frosts as we source fruit from 27 vineyards across the south east, from Dorset in the west through Hampshire and Sussex to Kent in the east and Essex in the North.
